My Mangapapa School Trailer

 We were learning to make an advertisement about Mangapapa School using wevideo. We were only allowed to use pictures.It was fun creating my video because I know twice as many computer tricks now, than at the beginning of the year. I found it easier to put my video together because Mr Fourie made the instructions really clear. It was also easy to make our video because I have picked up a few tricks across the year. 

I found it challenging to pick the parts of Mangapapa School because it is a really good school with a lot of exciting. It was also quite difficult to add in the titles because I have never added titles before. Yet another thing that was hard to do was to voiceover.

I chose to advertise many things. They are the obstacle course, bike track, pool and the sports field. The best way to inform people is by video because it is an entertaining way to gather thoughts and information.

I really enjoyed making the whole video because it is really fun creating videos. It was fun to brainstorm all of the ideas and realised how fun our school really is. The best part about making the video was to get help from my friends and spend a school day making a video.

Next time I need to take my time when making videos. I need to slow down and add more detail. Overall, the best part was choosing the parts of Mangapapa School that I wanted to take pictures of.

Real Or Fake

Have you ever heard of photoshop?

Today we went on google drawings to make an unusual picture. It was fun because we were learning a new tool.

It was really easy to use Unsplash and Remove B.G  which is what helped us to create our creepy creatures. My advice is that when you are looking for images, make sure they are real not fake.

I found it easy to put all of the pictures and fit them together. I found it hard to chose what I was actually going to make.

Mangapapa School Gala Poster

We were learning to use piktochart to create posters. Piktochart is a fun website that is used to make posters, click here to get started.  It was hard to get used to a new tool but I eventually got the hang of it.Thank you to my friend Zac for showing me how to use it.

 I really enjoyed creating the poster because it is a new tool and I was faced with the challenge of figuring it out.

Next time I would need to add more writing and have less pictures. I would also have to make it tidier and take my time. I hope to see you guys at the gala!

Disappearing Trick

My video shows magic because I disappear my friend without cutting the video. It is a special trick that I am not willing to show you guys at the moment. I really like using Wevideo because it teaches me a lot!

The video skills that I am learning at the moment is to cut my footage. We had to make our video around 30 seconds and it had to involve magic. Special shout out to my friend Cameron for being in my video. It wouldn't be magic without him.

When you guys are doing Wevideo, make sure you save your footage so you get to keep your video. Mr Fourie told us about some people who lose all of their videos because of this. Wevideo is complicated at first, but when you get used to it, it's a piece of cake.

My next steps for my video is to make my video longer and to use more complicated steps to make a more successful video. I need to put in the right music for the video or situation. It took me about 3 hours to make my video[for some reason]. My video started off simple, but with Cameron's help, it made my recording a lot easier.

Duck's Cybersmart Adventures

We were learning about using scratch to make our very own game about one of our Manaiakalani sessions with Mr Fourie[4E].In my game you have to answer duck's questions until you finish and you know to use great comments.

I really liked getting to code my own game because scratch is a really fun tool that is free to use. 

I did mine about Quality blog comments and how good comments make others feel good because not everyone wants to be called terrible on their very own blog.

I found it hard to use the right code because it is one of my first times and I am still learning to use the website. It was easy to pick a character because my favourite animal is a duck so it was pretty much a no brainer. I also struggled to figure out scratch because it is very complicated to me!

Next time I think I will make my game longer. I might also need to speak more clearly and modify my voice to sound like my character looks. I also got info from Summer from Awapuni. Click on her name to check out her blog.

I Fixed A Broken Game!!

Have you ever made your own scratch game?

We were learning about how to use scratch and fixing a broken game.

I really enjoyed learning to use scratch because I have never done coding before.

I found it hard to fix the code at first because I didn't know what I was doing.

I found it easy to choose the right background and character because it was not my first time picking a character.

Next time I need to work on coding so I can get better and make scratch games more easily because I am not very experienced.

We were learning about making a gif about a bad post on our blog, then making it better.

 I found it easy to compare the two pieces because you are able to easily tell the difference.

 I found it hard to make the GIF itself because it was a website that I have never been on before.

 I really enjoyed doing everything because it was an all round fun experience and activity.

Next time I need to make more improvement so you guys can tell the difference very clearly.
